This makes the roof line visible in the plan view but the lines appear as solid lines.
Room not visible through roof revit.
Revit displays the modify linework contextual ribbon.
Put a section through the room go to the section view and make sure the room has it interior fill checked.

Select the linework tool in the view panel on the home ribbon.
If the upper limit and offset are specified beyond the level above the roof the vertical boundary of the space will snap to the roof even though the upper limit is higher than the roof.
So i have a floor level at 0 with a few rooms and a sanctuary level with only one room.
If the cut plane on you lighting plan is at 0 change it to 1 2 someting higher than 0 so that it slices through the bottom of the spaces.
I m working on a church we have about 4 floor levels the entrance is at 0 elevation then the main area slopes about down to the lowest level at 30 elevation which is the sanctuary.
I have assigned each room to a department visibility graphics override rooms colour fill interior fill turned on is it something in visibility or type properties i have something wrong in many thanks.
If the phase names differ between the host and link check the phase mapping setup for the link.
In the view properties expand the underlay drop down and select the level on which the roof was created to display as an underlay.
Room separation lines should not be placed on top of other walls when things don t work.
Take care to place room separation lines so they connect with the loc line of walls.
If the spaces are not visible with them turned on in v g ensure that the cut plane is cutting through the spaces as they will not show unless this is so.
Use them sparingly and primarily to define spaces where there are no walls like a waiting area in a lobby.
Weird problem i m not sure how to explain it.
All rooms show in their appropriate plans if i turn on interior fill in vg except the 6th floor open office room and tag.
All the other rooms on this floor are visible.
None of my room colours are showing up.
This is because with the areas and volumes option selected default setting the vertical boundary of the space will snap to room bounding components such as roofs.
The room is placed because i can see it in the section just not in any of the plan views.
If this is the case the easiest solution is to select the room group it change reference level under properties while still in group and then ungroup.
The project is a 6 story open office building with two vertical circulation cores and a utility restroom core.
The rest of the floor plate is open office.
I have a rouge room.
This might flag that the room starts at a higher level than your cut plane.
Hi all hoping someone can help.
